the ended love; 12:21 AM ![]() Mobile Phones have become such an integral part of modern life and our society that it`s hard to imagine a world without them now. At first the liberation of communication that they facilitated was the main selling point, but they truly penetrated the mass market as they shrunk in size, began to come with increased features and began to work in unison with the internet through ever changing and improving network technology. You may wonder where the mobile phone can go as a device in the next few years, when it had pretty much perfected its primary function over a decade ago. Taking a closer look at the future possibilities open to the mobile phone and the further impact it can and will have on the way we live our lives is an intriguing journey to begin. Phone Hardware Technology - At the moment it is possible to divide the phone market into three categories, although the lines between each one are often so vague it may be hard to distinguish between the types. There are Multimedia Phones, Smart Phones and Camera Phones. Multimedia phones should be filed under `Jack of all trades, master of none` and essentially make up the low to mid range of the mobile phone market today. They have functions as mp3 players, video viewers, camera functions and basic internet and networking all included, but they are often the lower end of the spectrum in terms of performance in all of these areas. If you`re not really interested in most of the functions of your mobile phone beyond making calls and receiving texts then this is probably the kind of phone you`ll be interested in. Smart Phones are designed primarily for business users or high end mobile enthusiast who want to have their phone crammed with the latest technology, both in terms of software and hardware, often including full QWERTY keypads or, as the latest fashion dictates, touch screens which are elegant but do damage easily. In the smart phone arena it is speed of internet access and data transfer that is key to selling phones, and the latest network compatibility is essential. Camera phones have been around for a few years now, and nearly every new phone will come with at least a basic camera, for simple, low resolution pictures and video calling. However, from these humble begins an entirely new breed of camera phone has evolved, aiming to replace your digital camera and provide high quality picture and video capture on the move. Phones with camera that capture at up to 8 megapixels are currently coming into the market, and video capture at high frame rates has been the selling point of certain fashion camera phones of the recent past. Networking Technology - Building on the GSM standard that has been around for nearly two decades, 3G is the current `hot` network and handset technology, offering higher speed internet access and video streaming and telephony within a mobile handset. However, as with each new generation of network and handset technology, and entirely new set of broadcasting and handsets are needed for each one. 4G, the fourth generation, is on the way, and although not much is know about it, it is said to offer an `always on` IP based connection with access to all internet features all the time. The consumer will have to wait and see how mobile phones deals are affected when 3G is superseded by 4G. Tuesday, February 16, 2010 ' ♥
the ended love; 12:38 AM imagine the WORLD W/OUT this THINGS ,,W/out WIRELESS CONNECTION ![]() Some trivia about the picture above .. : Wireless TechnologyWireless technology provides the ability to communicate between two or more entities over distances without the use of wires or cables of any sort. This includes communications using radio frequency (RF) as well as infrared (IR) waves or Bluetooth. The birth of wireless technology started with the discovery of electromagnetic waves by Heinrich Hertz (1857–1894). Guglielmo Marconi (1874–1937) established the very first commercial RF communications, the wireless telegraph, in the late 1890s—more than fifty years after the first commercial wired telegraph service that was demonstrated in 1832 by Samuel F. B. Morse (1791–1872). Marconi was also the first to transmit radio signals to a mobile receiver on ships in the early 1900s. Wireless technology has always been preceded by wired technology and is usually more expensive, but it has provided the additional advantage of mobility, allowing the user to receive and transmit information while on the move. Bluetooth is a new cable replacement wireless technology that can connect almost any appliance that can be networked to any other appliance—a digital camera to a laptop, or a coffee machine to the Internet, for example. Bluetooth applications include cordless telephones, laptops, and other devices. Today, it is also possible to access the Internet using wireless technology. Cellular digital packet data (CDPD) service is available for accessing the Internet in the same licensed frequency bands as cell phones. It is possible to buy a CDPD modem for handheld computers and palmtops and to browse the web and send e-mail without connecting via a cable to the Internet. Wireless access to the Internet is expected to exceed wired access in the next few years, and the prospects for the future are exciting. Wireless TechnologiesTo support networking solutions that consumer electronic devices and appliances can plug into, Microsoft is working on a range of wireless technologies to enable a robust set of user scenarios for local area networks (LANs), personal area networks (PANs), and wide area networks (WANs). Windows provides extensive Native 802.11 support, which is the widely adopted standard for high-speed networking across wireless local area networks (WLANs). Windows includes built-in support for Bluetooth wireless technology. Compatible hardware complies with the H:2 (USB) HCI specification for Bluetooth wireless technology. The hardware vendor does not have to provide a separate driver. Bluetooth L2CAP protocol drivers should use KMDF or a device-class-specific driver model such as AVStream. Drivers for RFCOMM devices should use UMDF. Maybe I wiLL be Bored if there are no Gadgets to connect in the internet or to some another devices. How can we bring our ceLLphones , PSP ,MP5 ,LAPTOP and CAMERA's if there are no wireless connection. How can I pass song , movies, pictures on my cLassmates ceLLphone ? Thanks to its technology, users ofbluetooth technologycan enjoy low bandwidth benefits through their wireless connections. How Hard iF aLL the devices haVe wiRes !! Monday, February 8, 2010 ' ♥
the ended love; 12:32 AM My fieLd trip .. ! Zoobic Safari is the ONLY Tiger Safari in the Philippines. Located in Subic Bay Freeport Zone (the former American Naval Base), it boasts of 11 unique attractions guaranteed to make one's visit a most thrilling and memorable one. A member of the Residence Inn Group, it started its operations in January, 2004 and since then it has become one of the most popular tourist destinations in the country. Zoobic Safari is located in the heart of a 50-hectare heavily forested area called Ilanin Forest. Because of its location, the animals are viewed in a jungle setting that makes one's visit an adventure in a nature park. Please do not expect a traditional zoo setup where you passively view the animals in their cages. Be prepared for an interactive experience with the tigers, crocodiles, the ostriches, the bear cats, or even the baby goats and sheeps. Because you will not be able to pass up the rare chance to actually feed them or to observe them up close! My Adventure in Zoobic Safari.. My classmates, teachers and I were at the Zoobic Safari at Subic Olongapo last Friday January 29. We left Batangas on Friday 4:00 am. The drive was a little over 4 hours, including a stop for foods. Along the way, we saw a very wide farm at a distance and lots of fruits stands along the road. I took pictures. We arrived at Subic Safari 5:30 PM roamed around the zoo. Zoobic Safari is located deep in the old Naval Magazine tropical jungle. As you enter the lobby you will took notice of the arch above with tiger eyes on the top. Everything, including the staff, was covered in Bengal tiger orange and black stripes. As you enter the zoo you will already got to see tigers in their cages. Baby tigers with oversized, fuzzy paws were running and jumping in larger cages. Beside the cages, there’s a photo shop where visitors can have their pictures taken while feeding the tiger you just have to pay an additional 240.00 though. After the photo shoot we sat down for the introduction video, we were provided with a staff to guide as along the two-hour five-part tour. The tour guide first led us to the Serpentarium the only one in the country which showcases a variety of iguanas, lizards, snakes, turtles and other reptiles. Then we went to the Tiger Safari where we boarded into a Safari jeepney which drove us to the 15-hectare Safari with 4 adult tigers roaming around, mostly in the area of a large pond. The jeepney has one inch, open wire mesh, covering window and door areas. For an additional cost, you can also buy chicken to feed the tigers during the ride. One of the male guides, in the jeepney, then dangles a chicken tied with a rope from a window. Eventually one of the tigers meanders over to the vehicle to catch the chicken being thrown at. When the tiger finally strikes his bulk hits the jeepney, causing the men, women and children on board to scream. Unperturbed, the tiger drags his meal away. Then we made a walk through the tropical jungle - The Petting Zoo where deer, cassowary, mini horse, apes, sheep, carabao, wild bear, monkeys and many other animals roam around their wide cages. There was also a pinkish albino cow, several rabbits and a number of goats. We went into the Savannah and saw ostriches from Africa and Australia. There are also potbellies, wild boars and guinea fowls. We went to our last attractions which houses the Crocodile farm. On our way to the farm we passed by the Aetas Trail where a group of Aetas performed to the delight of the tourist. They came prepared dancing the dragonfly dance, war dance accompanied by an Aeta guitarist. After the tour, we decided to eat inside the bus. We had so much fun on our day in Subic. So come and experience your once in a lifetime fun at Zoobic Zafari Forest Adventure. NEXT ... Adventure in Ocean Adventure.. Ocean Adventure is a popular attraction in Subic featuring marine animals giving guests an entertaining and educational experience. This establishment is in Camayan Wharf in Subic Bay. From Olongapo city you can reach Ocean Adventure by making a right turn to Layac and proceeding to the monument of the Fall of Bataan. Then make a left turn on the TIPO expressway so you can go inside the SBMA then proceed to the expressway and make a right turn to the Rizal Street then go straight and make a left turn on the Argonaut Highway. From the Argonaut Highway you will pass by the airport after this make a left turn at the Triboa Bay and proceed to the Naval Magazine gate where you can see signs pointing to the direction of Ocean Adventure which will be just five kilometers away. I enjoy my trip in Ocean Adventure and also my classmates. There are two mains shows worth seeing. The dolphin and false killer whale show is really something. First the dolphins do all kind of jumps, dances across the water and swim tricks. The false killer whales follow with stunts of their own. The human handlers do some rides aboard the animals getting tossed unhurt back onto the piers. You view this 40 minute show in the comfort of tiered-spectator stands which are thankfully shaded. The background views of Subic Bay are priceless. Adults and children leave the show with smiles on their faces. We heard more than once, “That was great.” The sea lion exhibition is a little more intimate. The two person trainers are entertaining and informed. Each has a sea lion they work with. Adorable comes to mind just seeing their woolly-whiskered faces. Interspersed with the tricks are light hearted lectures on the environment and how wildlife can be damaged by man. Nets that can cripple, plastic that can suffocate. There is some audience participation in the show. A female was brought out of the crowd and received what must have been a very fishy kiss. The aquarium has always been a favorite in this park. It’s actually 10 separate aquariums. You enter a dark cave-like, air-conditioned hall. The only light is from the aquariums. These are about one meter high and two meters wide. The ten tanks re-create the actual environments of the Subic Bay area. There is a freshwater tank recreating river environments. One has shallow mangrove conditions. One has sunken ship situations. They progress through the various ocean depths to the deepest of the deep. Each of these has the grass or vegetation or coral that grows in that environment and the fish that inhabit it. Next to the exhibits is excellent signing telling you what you are seeing. There are pictures of the fish with their names so you know what you’re looking at. Two attendants are present to answer questions. We buy souvenirs also. I had a very nice fieLd trip ! |
